Bonnie Damiano Mike
Caro takes the microphone as Linda Johnson looks on. They were addressing
the players' conference and sharing some of their secrets. Mike
is always an entertaining speaker. He started out with "And
Grandma said you can't win at gambling…. but, Grandma lied!"
He followed that up with the real reasons that folks play poker
and how winning pots should not be the real goal of poker players,
but winning money. Winning the most pots actually would make you
a loser. Not one to argue with the Mad Genius, Linda had some big
shoes to fill in following Mike, but she spoke and the players listened,
sort of like the E. F. Hutton commercial.
