PartyPoker Million Final Table - March 2002

Phil Hellmuth, Jr., is a 37 year-old professional poker player from Palo Alto, California. No stranger to the winners' circle or poker tournaments, he bought into this event for $8,000 and made it to the final nine with a chip count of $227,000. He went on to take third place in the event. He has been playing poker for 18 years and his hobbies, other than poker, include golf, running, and the role of family man. He has two great kids with his wife, Kathy. They are Phillip, 11, and Nick, 8. Phil has seven World Series of Poker bracelets including the 1989 main event where he won $750,000. All of his WSOP victories are in his favorite game; hold'em. It is no wonder he did so well here at the PartyPoker Million! When asked about the PPM he said "I love it!!! I'll be back, Mike Sexton and company have done it again!"
