Puerto Vallarta The first stop along our journey was at Puerto Vallarta. Costumed natives, as well as many actors, welcomed our group ashore. Given the colorful nature of the festive garb, it oftentimes was difficult to tell just who were the players! On the pier, those who didn't already have plans for the day were met with a plethora of choices by vendors selling tours as well as car rental and scooter options.
