It is with a blend of emotions that Mark and I wish to share some important news with you: we have made the decision to retire.
As we reflect on the past eight years, Mark and I are filled with profound gratitude. This endeavor has been much more than a business for us; it has been a true passion. We have been exceptionally fortunate to connect with remarkable, like-minded individuals and to create truly unforgettable memories together. Your steadfast loyalty, unwavering support, and genuine enthusiasm have been the driving force behind our passion and success, and for this, we extend our deepest appreciation. We will remain forever grateful to Linda and Jan for entrusting us with their baby and for giving us this incredible opportunity.
One of the most rewarding aspects of this journey has been witnessing the formation of friendships among individuals who were once strangers, many of which have blossomed into lifelong bonds. From the excitement of our inaugural cruise to the numerous successful voyages that have followed across the globe, each experience has been truly unforgettable. We are immensely proud of what we have built together.
As we now look towards retirement, Mark and I are eager to embark on a new chapter in our lives. After more than 35 years of jointly managing three successful businesses, and 25 years within the poker world, we are excited to dedicate more time to our family, personal interests, and future adventures.
Card Player Cruises Will Continue!
We want to assure you that this transition does not signify the end of Card Player Cruises. Indeed, we anticipate sharing some exciting news with you in the near future. We are committed to ensuring a seamless transition by entrusting the continuation of Card Player Cruises to individuals who share our values and dedication to providing the exceptional level of customer service and professionalism you have come to expect. In conjunction with this announcement, we hope to release our remaining 2026 Royal Caribbean and Celebrity poker cruises, and we have already secured several itineraries for 2027. While Royal Caribbean has reconfigured certain vessels within their fleet, we have compiled a comprehensive selection of ships across both the Royal Caribbean and Celebrity lines that retain suitable conference facilities to accommodate our poker groups for the foreseeable future.
We understand that many of you have been eagerly awaiting the opportunity to book cruises for 2026, and we extend our sincere gratitude for your patience as we navigate these new waters.
The cruises scheduled for November 2nd, 2025, and January 25th, 2026, will mark the culmination of an incredible era for us, and we intend to make these voyages memorable celebrations. We sincerely hope you will join us for this special farewell as we honor the memories, laughter, and friendships we have all shared.
