Highlights of the tour include:

A close up visit with Alaskan bears at a sanctuary where they are rescued and raised in a natural setting. You will be able to watch them play, eat, and “ham it up” for visitors.

A drive through Sitka and its stunning harbor and fishing fleet as your learn about Japonski Island’s World War II history.

A visit to the totem poles at the Sitka National Historical Park.

A visit to see the salmon run.

Time permitting, we will stop at the raptor center where you will see eagles and other bird species being nursed back to health.

This tour will operate in 10 passenger vans, rather than on a crowded bus. It is led by locals, rather than seasonal employees. Linda Johnson said, “This is one of the best excursions ever!
