Juneau Whale Watching - Fri, Aug 29 2025
Our whale watching adventure begins when we board a bus for a 25-minute journey through the picturesque landscape of Southeast Alaska (keep an eye out for bald eagles and bears) to Auke Bay Harbor. You will board a private, chartered catamaran with other Card Player Cruises passengers and go in search of whales.
The star of the tour is the humpback whale, but we have also seen orcas several times. Once we spot a whale, the captain will slow down and allow you to go out on the spacious viewing decks for a great photo opportunity. The custom design vessels provide unrestricted viewing from inside the cabin as well as outside. There will be a naturalist on board to tell us all about the wildlife we see. A light snack will be provided.

NOTE: The buses will not accommodate scooters. Foldable wheelchairs are allowed but are difficult to maneuver down to the boat. There is very minimal walking on this tour but you must be able to walk up the steps of the bus and step onto the whale watching boat. You will be picked up very near the ship and returned to the same place. Please leave your passport on the ship. This excursion goes rain or shine. There are no refunds for no shows as we have prepaid the tickets. We recommend you dress in layers and bring an umbrella, after all it is Alaska!
